How does it feel to be a Jew in America right now?

A lot of people I know are worried. And there’s a lot to worry about.

But here’s something I learned that’s helped me stay hopeful:

Aristotle never said, "All men are created equal." That was from the Torah.

250 years ago, America’s founders were building a country from scratch, and they got a lot of their best ideas from us: from the Torah, the Jewish tradition (your tradition).

It’s no accident that America has been the most welcoming country in Jewish history.

The founders wanted it that way. Because they respected the Jewish tradition and were inspired by it.

This summer will be 250 years since the first 4th of July in 1776â€"which makes this a great time to reflect on America from a Jewish point of view. I think we have what to be proud of.

I’m leading a new course I think you’ll enjoy. It’s called Sinai and Civics. It’s four sessions on how Jewish ideas inspired America’s founders.

You’ll walk away standing taller as a Jew in America.

I’d love to have you join us.
